ANTI-WRINKLE TREATMENS

These treatments utilise botulinum toxin commonly known as ‘Botox’, although this name is used for these treatments,  BOTOX® is a brand of botulinum toxin used for these types of injections as well as many other brands.

‘Botox’ works by blocking signals between the nerves and the muscles, this in turn stops the muscle fibres from working. When this is used in an aesthetic setting, it can reduce the movement of certain target muscles in the face in order to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines as well as treat other areas of concern.

HOW LONG
DOES IT LAST
?

Typically, ‘Botox’ effects can last anywhere from 3-6 months (3 months in most), this is dependent on several factors which your practitioner will discuss with you along with full consent and aftercare.

At LooKosmetics, our choice of 'Botox' is BOCOUTURE® as it is free from complexing proteins which are present in BOTOX® which may cause resistance in the treatment over time however both are available at our clinic.

As this is a prescription only medicine, clients will only be treated after the initial consultation with our clinicians.

Clients at LooKosmetics will always be offered a complimentary review 2 weeks post any ‘Botox’ treatments for treatment review and top up if required.

EXCESSIVE

NDERARM
SWEATING

Excessive underarm sweating – £300

Excessive underarm sweating is a common complaint that both men and women experience and can affect between 1 and 3 in every 100 people.

For most people, this concern can be treated with an antiperspirant but for some, this is still not enough.

This can sometimes lead to embarrassment, preventing someone from interacting in social activities which could in turn lead to anxiety and depression.

This condition can be treated with ‘Botox’ injections to the armpits (axilla) which block the receptors in the sweat glands and can prevent perspiration in the areas for up to 6 months, this is usually accompanied by a reduced body odour associated with some people who experience excessive sweating..

JAWLINE
SLIMMING

Jawline slimming – £250

This treatment is for those who have a prominent masseter muscle that gives the appearance of a wider square jaw. This is often seen in avid gym goers as well as others who grind their teeth.  ‘Botox’ when administered to the masseter muscle will over time (up to several weeks) start to reduce in size creating a slimmer appearance of the jawline which can last 3-9 months.

ECK LIFT

Nefertiti neck lift – £250

This treatment is suitable for clients with prominent muscles called Platysmal bands (neck bands). ‘Botox’ injected into these muscles significantly reduces their appearance and as such gives a more lifted smoothed neck and jawline hence the coining of the treatment name referring to Queen Nefertiti’s bone structure.

Shoulder/ Neck/ Head Tension-  £400

This treatment, performed every 6 months, targets various muscle groups to enhance aesthetic appearance and comfort. Shoulder Slimming with 'Botox' involves injecting the trapezius muscles to reduce shoulder tension and create a slimmer, more elegant shoulder and neck profile.

Scalp 'Botox' helps reduce excessive sweating and muscle tension in the scalp, promoting a fresher and more comfortable scalp environment. This treatment can be an adjunct to therapies like mesotherapy and or  DHT blockers, potentially benefiting those who experience androgenic hair loss but cannot take finasteride (DHT blockers).

Migraine Tension Relief with Botox targets muscle tension in the head and neck, improving facial relaxation and appearance. This treatment is ideal for those seeking to alleviate tension in areas prone to stress-related discomfort.

Like all our 'Botox' treatments, they are performed by our experienced clinicians who will assess your individual needs and discuss the best options for your personalised treatment plan.

FAQS

1

Do ‘Botox’ injections hurt?

Generally, these injections tend to be very comfortable. *Anaesthetic is not usually required, and we employ various techniques including a distraction tool to aid with the comfort of our clients.

2

Will I be at risk of Botulism?

No. Botulinum toxin used is a chemical compound made in laboratories in its purest form and used in line with strict protocols and does not contain the bacteria C.botulinum which causes Botulism.

3

Can I go immediately to the gym or sauna after treatment?

Not immediately. This will be part of your aftercare information that you should avoid excessive sweating as this will reduce the effects of the medicine as it will not be fully settled in the treated muscles.

4

I have a party the day before or day after the treatment, can I drink?

We advise not to drink alcohol 24 hours prior to and after treatment as this can cause vasodilation and increase the risk of bruising as well as reduce the effectiveness of the treatment.
