POLYNUCLEOTIDES
Polynucleotides are derived from fish DNA (usually Trout or Salmon), which closely resembles human DNA.
When injected into the skin, they stimulate fibroblasts (the cells that produce collagen and elastin), improving skin quality and texture while reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. They are also effective in treating hair loss or thinning hair.
Polynucleotides can be harnessed for their anti-inflammatory properties, helping to treat conditions such as acne. Additionally, they normalise cell behaviour and can help in the treatment of hyperpigmentation and prevent future hyperpigmentation.
PLINEST® and NEWEST® are advanced polynucleotide-based injectable gels that work on a cellular level to repair tissue and boost skin quality. The innovative gel stimulates fibroblasts, encouraging cell renewal, improving elasticity, boosting collagen production, and hydrating skin due to its powerful wound-healing polymers. Created by renowned Italian manufacturer Mastelli, with more than 70 years of experience in polynucleotide research and development, Mastelli has full control of the production chain and has conducted over 100 clinical studies with its trademarked High Purification Technology (PN-HPT®).

PN-HPT® products are natural-origin polynucleotides derived from fish intended for human consumption. They are obtained through a technology featuring a high degree of purification and safety to ensure little to no allergens ; they are also recognised for their healing and regenerative properties.
Key indications for PLINEST® and NEWEST® include the face, hairline, neck, décolletage, knees, inner arms, and thighs. PLINEST® calms inflammation and rebalances melanocyte activity to create an even and refreshed skin tone.

POLYNUCLEOTIDES and EXOSOMES
Polynucleotides are usually seen mostly in clients over 30, this is because our skin's ability to regenerate and repair itself diminishes as we age; however, depending on skin quality and conditions, younger patients may also benefit from this treatment after consultation with our clinicians (some contraindications are mentioned in FAQs).

Injection technique is usually via mesotherapy (several minor intradermal injection points) in the treatment area.
Exosomes are tiny vesicles rich in growth factors and proteins that enhance skin healing and regeneration.
Priming the skin with either a course or a single dose on the day or up to a week before procedures such as microneedling, CO2 laser, fillers, peels, surgery makes the skin more receptive and enhance the procedure as well as reduce healing time of other treatments.

To maximise results, we combine our polynucleotide treatment with a post treatment exosome mask or serum which is nano needled (this do not hurt and only penetrate the top layer of the skin to aid the penetration of the product to where it is needed) helping to soothe the treated area and promote faster recovery, giving you a smoother, more youthful, and radiant complexion.

The concentration of products varies, with some formulations containing hyaluronic acid, ideal for conditions such as acne or for clients seeking enhanced moisturising properties.

To maximise results, our treatments include post nano-needling of exosomes, followed by the application of an exosome gel/mask to accelerate healing and improve outcomes.

This treatment utilises Plinest Hair Polynucleotides by Mastelli. According to the manufacturer’s guidance, we start with Phase I, which consists of 4 sessions with 14-day intervals between sessions.

An assessment is conducted post Phase I before commencing Phase II, which comprises another 4 sessions with 30-day intervals- this is usually started between 1-4 months after Phase I then maintenance sessions recommended every quarter.

Am I suitable for Polynucleotides if I'm pregnant?
No, like most injectables this is not suitable for those pregnant, breastfeeding , clients with keloid scarring or those with a fish allergy. The suitability will be decided upon the consultation itself for full inclusion or exclusion.

Can I use Polynucleotides to treat under eye dark circles or forehead?
Yes, this product can be used in usually tough to treat areas. It can help with under the eye dark circles where sometime skin boosters or dermal fillers are contraindicated.

Do these injections hurt?
These injection can be slightly uncomfortable so we tend do use topical anaesthetic for mesotherapy where multiple injection points are required to make the experience near painless.

Will I look ‘overdone’?
No, Polynucleotides aim to regenerate the skin tone and texture and improve it, you should see a natural brighter, fresher you. This can be paired with contouring treatments like dermal fillers or hydration treatments such a skin boosters.
